Peter has been shaping young minds in NYC classrooms for over 20 years. With a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (K-6) and a concentration in child growth and development, plus a Master’s in School Building Leadership from Mercy College, Peter brings both expertise and passion to education. Since 2003, he’s been teaching 6th grade, starting in the Bronx and later in Fresh Meadows, Queens, where he continues to inspire his students.

Peter’s journey with FIRST LEGO League began in 2006, coaching teams in the Bronx before continuing the tradition in Queens. From 2014 to 2018, he co-chaired NYC FIRST, helping it expand from 103 to 350 teams with support from then-Chancellor Carmen Fariña. Along the way, he led teams to Champions Awards and even competed internationally at LEGOLAND California in 2016 and 2018.

His STEM leadership doesn’t stop there. Peter served as the STEM Institute staff developer for the NYC DOE at Stuyvesant High School and took his expertise global, presenting at the 7th Annual International Exploring ICT in Education Conference in Doha, Qatar, in 2016.

In 2018, Peter founded Mr. X-robotx LLC, combining decades of experience with his passion for robotics and education. Whether in the classroom, coaching teams, or leading professional development, Peter’s mission is clear: to ignite curiosity, creativity, and innovation in every learner.
