Marked By’s signature class, Marked by You, invites little artists to dive hands-first (and sometimes feet-first!) into sensory play and creative discovery. From squishing sponges and tapping measuring cups to scooping rice and finger painting, each activity is designed to spark curiosity and empower your child to take the lead.

Developed by Art Therapists, this experience nurtures tactile awareness, strengthens fine and gross motor skills, and builds confidence through joyful, messy exploration. In a safe and supportive space, children practice sharing, setting boundaries, and taking creative risks—all while connecting to the artist within.

Notes

-Will my child get messy?
That depends on your little one’s creative style! While we don’t encourage mess for mess’s sake, we’re all about the joy of the art-making process. Each child is invited to explore at their own pace—and sometimes that means a few splatters along the way. We recommend dressing both your baby and yourself in clothing that can get a little messy. As we like to say, your child is washable!

-What if my child puts materials in their mouth?
All materials used in our classes are non-toxic and sanitized between sessions. A caregiver is always required to stay with their child to ensure safe and comfortable exploration. It’s completely normal for babies to bring objects to their mouths—this is part of how they learn! Over time, they begin to understand what’s for playing and what’s for eating.
To help reinforce that distinction, we kindly ask that snacks be saved for after class.

-What if my child has allergies?
If your child has any allergies or sensitivities, please let us know before your first class so we can ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.

Sample Class Format

• Each class begins with a time of open-ended art exploration, where little hands dive into color, texture, and creative discovery. Once our art-making wraps up, we shift gears to sensory play, introducing thoughtfully curated sensory bins designed to engage curiosity, coordination, and imagination.
